The data room in schools has been a popular tool to display and review students’ progress over many years. These rooms typically feature whiteboards and charts that display academic data to teachers. The idea is for the teacher teams and administrators to to examine and discuss student performances in a collaborative manner.\n<\/p>\n
The problem with these displays however, is that they may violate FERPA guidelines. These spaces can be used to shame students in front of their peers or to humiliate them publicly. This shouldn’t be happening in schools.\n<\/p>\n

A digital solution usually comes with an annotation tool that permits users to create personal notes on any document stored within it. This is an excellent feature to keep an eye on tasks, Q&A threads, and uploads of documents. It would be great for the solution to provide access to documents, folders, and activities depending on roles, document and folder levels, or activities.\n<\/p>\n
